Shipping Policy

How much is shipping/delivery?

We offer free delivery on all online orders over £75. For orders under £75, we charge a flat rate of £7.95 for delivery. This includes the Scottish Islands & Highlands.

The Strong Water Co retains the right to adjust the cost of delivery on shipments where the size and weight are beyond what is anticipated and stated by our delivery charges.


How long does delivery take?


Orders are generally processed the same day if purchased before 3 p.m. unless otherwise stated. Courier orders are not dispatched at weekends or during Bank Holidays.

We use a range of couriers whose delivery times vary. Please pick the delivery option that suits you the best. 

Do you charge additional delivery to the Scottish Highlands and Islands?

No, all orders over £75 include free shipping. This includes the Scottish Islands and Highlands


Can I have next-day delivery?


Although we offer next-day service, we are not currently able to guarantee next-day delivery due to the current ongoing issues with driver shortages.


Do you ship outside of the UK?

We can offer services to Europe, the USA, and the Rest of the World but please contact us with your order and we can provide a quote. The Strong Water Co. is not liable for any import charges on packages sent from the United Kingdom.

Can you ship whisky to the USA?

We are delighted to say we can now offer delivery of all our products to America. Please contact us for quotes for all deliveries to the USA.

Import Taxes

 UK Excise Duty has been paid on all goods shipped to international markets. The customer is wholly responsible for any local customs and import duties and taxes attached to the goods shipped. The customer warrants and represents to The Strong Water Co. and their third-party couriers that there are no import restrictions applying to our goods and that all such goods shipped to the customer are being legally imported to the customer’s local market, tax, and duty paid. 
 

Tracking

All tracking numbers are sent via email or text once your order has been booked with the courier, please note these may not show on the courier system straight away. Please send us an email or give us a call for further details on tracking.


Do you deliver to PO Boxes?


Unfortunately, we do not currently ship to PO boxes. If we notice your address is for a PO Box, we will contact you to either arrange an alternative address or issue a refund.


Who is the courier?

We use various couriers.

DHL Parcel, DHL Express, Royal Mail, and local private couriers for all AB postcodes.


How will I receive my invoice?


Your invoice will be attached to the confirmation email you receive having purchasing your item. We do not send printed invoices.


Do I have to sign for my parcel?


Due to COVID-19, all deliveries are contactless.


What happens if I am not in to receive my parcel?


If you are unable to personally receive and sign for your parcel then a card will be posted by the courier explaining where and when the parcel has been taken. This may be with a neighbour or with your local depot. For local deliveries, if you are not in and there is no designated safe place a redelivery charge may be applied.

Accuracy of Address Details

The customer will be responsible for providing accurate contact and address details for all orders. Should we incur any cost for returns or extra charges billed to us by couriers due to incorrect information, these charges will need to be paid before re-delivery.

I need to change my shipping address?


If you need to change your address for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible. If your order has been dispatched, we will be unable to change the shipping address.


Some of my items are missing or damaged, what can I do?


The Strong Water Co. Ltd accepts no responsibility for missing products once a delivery has been signed for.
In the event that your delivery is missing one or more elements that you have purchased please contact customer services who will investigate the issue. Should you wish to dispute that your order is missing an item you must provide the following evidence:
All original packaging showing the address label clearly and the courier scanning code.  For broken or damaged goods please refer to our refunds and returns policy.

The Strong Water Co., can’t be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur once your order has been delivered.


Age restriction


It is against the law to sell gin, wine, or beer to anyone who isn't 18 years old or over. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are buying a gin, wine, or beer as a gift - the recipient must also be over 18 years old.
If our couriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they will request some form of ID. If the person receiving the alcohol is unable to produce the appropriate ID, unfortunately, our couriers will be unable to leave the gin, wine, or beer.

Please note for recipients receiving orders to the USA all customers need, to be over the age of 21.


Sorry to have to state the obvious, but once the gin, wine, or beer has been delivered, according to your original delivery instructions, it becomes the recipient's responsibility.
